Tim Henman has seen doctors about his fatigue at the Madrid Open and they have diagnosed a magnesium deficiancy. The doctors say it is not derious and he's now on tablets and hoping to get some points from the Basle tournament this week.
He's slipped behind Safin in the race and is in danger of not qualifying for the Masters Cup in Houston later in the year.
He's the top seed now in Basel, thanks to Federer's injury. He plays Antony Dupuis later on today. Twice winner of the Basel event, the conditions suit the Brit.
I saw the last games of his match against Wesley Moodie yesterday on Eurosport, and it was a real thriller. Timmie won in the end : 7-6(2), 6-7(0), 6-4, but he had some breakpoints against him and Moodie hit some unbelievable points. I think Tim won on his 4th matchpoint, Moodie hit an ace on the first three, but eventually he hit the ball in the net and was very frustrated.
