It's a shame to see that happen. It was sad to see the back of Hingis when she retired early. The amount of tennis Clijsters has played over the years makes this difficult to believe...

She announced this already a couple of times.. I really hope that she has won a couple of Slams in 2007 and has a high ranking, than maybe she will reconsider it. Otherwise the Proximus Diamond Games in 2008 will be her last tournament, and we'll all be present

I guess we will see in time how serious this is. I agree with 918 that it was a shame to see Hingis retire, I wish there were more players like Navratilova who just play and play and play (well not quite to the same extent as her.... shes been around far too long!)
