RUSEDSKI JUNIOR ON THE WAY

Greg Rusedski and his wife Lucy are expecting their first baby.

The baby is due in February and the couple are "thrilled" at the news.

Rumours of a pregnancy were sparked last month when Lucy, 28, dropped out of her role as a roving reporter at Wimbledon.

The player's agent said: "Greg and Lucy Rusedski are thrilled to announce that they are expecting their first child in February 2006."

It seems the happy news is spurring Greg on lately. He's won 11 of 13 matches on the hardcourts of North America and seems to be having a great lead up to the US Open. There's life in the old dog yet...and the US Open is of course the scene of Greg's best ever Grand Slam performance reaching the final in 1997 and losing to Pat Rafter.

Come on Greg!!!

Greg Rusedski beats Mario Ancic 6-2 3-6 6-2 to advance to the quarter-finals of the Montreal Masters. He will play either Juan Carlos Ferrero or Dominik Hrbaty. Nice one Greg!

Greg eventually went down in straight sets to Agassi in the Semi-Final 6-4 6-4. Agassi will now play Nadal in the final. I'd love to see that match!
