Wimbledon 2005

Well its almost upon us! What are everyones predictions. I am going to go for Federer for the men and am really not sure about the ladies. I hope Sharapova successfully defends her title but I have a feeling she may go out before the semi finals (have no idea why though)

Federer and Davenport. I have the same feeling about Sharapova and I think it's because she is defending the title this year and that is added pressure for an 18(?) year old.

Kim Clijsters had a 7-5 6-0 win over Vera Douchevina at Eastbourne so that's a good start!

On the British side of things...the BBC has it's own Tim-ometer for those of us preparing to ride the Henman rollercoaster! I just hope it's a long and satisfying ride!

Yes, Clijsters played a great final today, I really hope she can control her nerves again. Probably she'll meet Davenport again early in the tournament, that will be a key-match I guess.

Oh ja, the Henmania, I'll beter get prepared for it

The order of play is now on the Wimbledon website. Roger Federer obviously kicks of proceedings on Centre Court with Hewitt up first on Court 1 against the Belgian Christophe Rochus.

For the Brits, Rusedski is second match on Court 2 'Graveyard of the Seeds'

Yes, strange decision, Jamie Delgado is playing Ferrero on court 1.. I'm already looking forward to the Christophe Rochus vs. Hewitt match, although his brother Olivier Rochus is much better on grass..

I saw Ancic winning in Rosmalen today, I think he might be an outsider.

Just subscribed to the Wimbledon Plus BT coverage at the www.wimbledon.org site, it looks promising

I wished I could have all the BBC interactive coverage as well, I already get frustrated when I think of the sentence "press the red button if you want to continue watching this match".

But it's great that BT also offers their coverage to the people in Europe, most content on the BBC page is only for UK-people

Yeah I saw they had Wimbledon+ on wimbledon.org. They say its free to BT broadband customers (I am one) but did not see how to get it for free! I shall have a closer look later.

Myskina won today coming back from being down in all 3 sets plus a slight injury.

Federer won his 30th straight match on grass today! An amazing statistic...can he make it 36 in a row?

Henman kicks off tomorrow (second on Centre). I hope he gives us an easy ride for the first match. I am early shift at work tomorrow so I hope to catch some of the action!

I don't think there were any major shocks today...a few Spanish and Argentine seeds fell but I never expect them to advance anyways...this grass stuff sorts the men from the boys .

Kim Clijsters played well today And both Marat Safin and Mark Philippoussis impressed me today, too bad that they play eachother in round 2 (and that I'm not home on Wednesday )

Looking forward to see Timmie tomorrow. Also curious to see Henin on grass again after 2 years.

I agree...the Scud was on fire today and I would not be surprised at all to see him kick Safin in 3 sets in the next round. (I hope so because I am not a big Safin fan I'm afraid).

Good luck to Henin, I like to watch her play. She has some great strokes in her game.

I'm strapped in and ready to ride the Henman rollercoaster tomorrow!

Looks like Tim really needs to wake up, otherwise it will be a short ride

What a tense afternoon, and that with such a heat

Malisse escaped in the end, but Justine Henin lost to Daniilidou
