Federer scraped through his opening match in Halle today 6-7(7) 7-6(8) 6-4 against Robin Soderling. Before the match he apparently made a comment about wanting to meet Nadal in the semi's. Did he underestimate his opponent? Sounds like he may be getting a little complacent and there's no place for that on the ATP tour!

He also managed to get himself rattled during the match...

"The normally unflappable Federer complained at one point that Soderling had stopped playing in the middle of a point after the ball appeared to land out. "Afterwards he won the point anyway by serving an ace and then jeered right into my face so it's certainly a problem with him right now," said Federer."
