French Open 2005

So who's gonna win?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Federer for the mens! There does seem to be the usual clutch of Argentine and Spaniards remaining in the draw, any of whom could cause an upset. Nadal and Coria particularly.

On the ladies side I'd have to pick Sharapova and Davenport for the final. Beyond that is anyone's guess.

Mens: Federer to win. Would love to see Nadal play him in the semis, could be a closer match than Federer is used to. Not sure about the bottom of the draw, maybe Safin although he is a set down right now!

Womens: Am gonna go Davenport vs Sharapova for the womens. Wouldnt like to pick a winner though!

Well it's "the battle of the neigbours", Justine will take on Mary..  I hope it will be a great match, it's Justines 5th Grand Slam final, I really hope she'll win tomorrow, it would be so great for her !

For the men, I think Nadal will win.. if it stops raining today

I would put my money on Henin for that one, but then again the French Open has not really gone to plan this year!

I have Nadal for the mens

Well done Justine! I guess Melissa is happy with that but the ticket holders would not have been! When are the ladies gonna play best of 5 at the slams?

61mins and that is that.

Right now I dont think there are many people who want to see best of 5 in the womens game. In the U.S. the TV networks are not very happy about having best of 5 in the mens!

Well hopefully it won't be too long before the commercial networks lose sports coverage to specialist channels so that won't be a factor anymore.

Yes, I'm really happy, although it wasn't a real match..

Justines best match of the tournament was against Kuznetsova when she saved 2 matchpoints and turned the match around. I think she won the tournament there..

I watched some of it but I think I missed the best parts...just like the Champions League final the other day

I just don't find clay court tennis as compelling as grass/hard. Sorry all you clay fans but it's booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooring!

Was well worth a watch. They were making it look like a hard court game the pace was so fast! The skill and accuracy of the two players was unbelievable, I was waiting for them to make errors but they just kept hitting winners!
