Davenport humiliates Sharapova 6-0 6-0

Davneport beat Sharapova 6-0 6-0 in the Semi-Final at Indian Wells! I bet that was satisfying for Davenport. She'll now meet Clijsters in the Final.

I take it you are quite pleased with that result Melissa?!

It sounds like the Roddick/Hewitt semi was one for the books. Hewitt edged Roddick 7-6(3), 6-7(2), 7-6(4) to set up a final appearance with Federer. Federer had an easier time of it beating Canas 6-3 6-1.

My money is on the Swiss...I like to live dangerously

Yes I was.. She will be in the top 40 again now, just before Justine Henin. En Justine is also making her comeback in Miami, so it will be an interesting tournament

I think Federer is unbeatable this year.. Too bad that they don't show it on Eurosport

Indeed Federer seems unstopable....he didn't take too much time dispatching Hewitt yesterday. I wish we could transport him back to the 1990's so he could play Pete at the top of his game. That would be a spectacle!

I was astonished to see how easily Lindsay won against Sharapova. Lindsay was spectacular. That was Sharapova's first 6-0, 6-0 loss.

That match almost made me ask "is Sharapova a bit overhyped?".

Certainly she has a lot of attention on her. Largely down to her looks...but she is undeniably a good player as reigning Wimbledon champion and seems to be quite ruthless which is something seriously lacking in the women's game. She's injected some life into the WTA recently. I guess everyone has an off day...and that was hers.

Nobody likes to be beaten 6-0 6-0, I'm sure she learned a lot from that experience and will be doing all in her power to avoid a rerun.
